The Walls Wonderful Nightmare 2022

The Walls put Tempranillo in the Rocks District, cobblestone country better known for Syrah, and blended in 15% Mourvèdre from Stoney Vine, Les Collines, and Red Heaven for a wine that has no real counterpart in Washington. The Mourvèdre adds grip and savory weight through the mid-palate, and the whole thing has the kind of structure that earned it 93–94 points across the board. Tempranillo from the Walla Walla Valley, and nobody else is making it quite like this.
