Named one of the Best Wine Shops in America · Wine Enthusiast 2023

About Us

Welcome to The Thief Fine Wine & Beer — an independent bottle shop
in the heart of downtown Walla Walla, open seven days a week.

We opened with a simple idea: build the kind of wine shop that Walla
Walla deserved. Not another tasting room. A real neighborhood bottle
shop with the inventory, the knowledge, and the hours to actually be
useful to people.

THE FULL SPECTRUM

We sell wines from every corner of the world — and we mean every
corner. From affordable table wines to rare allocated bottles, from
Washington state classics to producers nobody's seen on the West Coast yet.
We carry beers from domestic craft breweries all the way to
Belgian Trappist and Flemish ales. There's a bottle for the winery
owner who stops in on their day off and one for the person who needs
marsala for dinner tonight. Both customers matter to us equally.

THE WHOLE VALLEY ON ONE SHELF

We're in Walla Walla wine country. We carry wines from producers
across the valley — more of the valley in one place than almost
anywhere else, with hours that actually work. Wineries are spread
out across the valley with unpredictable schedules. We're at
102 E. Main, open every day.

THE STAFF IS THE WHOLE THING

The biggest difference between us and a big-box shop is the people.
Our staff brings us products they believe in — and we go get them.
Tell us what you liked last time. We'll find you something that makes
you say "what is this and where has it been all my life?"

THURSDAY NIGHTS

Every Thursday from 5 to 8:30pm, we run a themed wine tasting —
roughly 6 wines, usually around $20, always a different corner of
the wine world. No reservation needed, no wine background required.
Come as you are.

A NOTE FOR LOCALS

We're not a winery. We're a shop — a hangout where you can grab
a 4-pack of hazy IPA, get a cocktail ingredient, pick up something
for a dinner party, or just browse. We're here for the whole
community.
