Rochioli's Estate Sauvignon Blanc draws on three generations of plantings. Forty-five percent from the original 1959 vineyard, a third from a 27-year-old hillside block, and the remainder from a newer planting of a rare clone. Cool tank fermentation keeps the fruit clear and unadorned, letting the vineyard age differences show through on the mid-palate rather than burying them. Nobody's hiding this one under oak.
