The 2022 growing season gave us everything we could have asked for to craft a balanced, energetic Merlot — and this wine feels like a celebration of that fortune. Predominantly sourced from the revered Seven Hills Vineyard, with thoughtful touches from Bacchus and Southwind, this wine brings together vibrancy, richness, and finesse in equal measure. In the glass, it shimmers with a deep ruby core and translucent rim. Aromatics leap out: juicy red cherry, raspberry coulis, pomegranate, and cerise liqueur, layered with subtle herbal notes and a hint of cocoa nib. On the palate, the fruit is fresh and lively at first, evolving into deeper notes of black cherry, baking spice, and espresso. Fine-grained tannins provide structure without harshness, and a lingering finish tinged with vanilla bean and toasted almond beckons sip after sip. It's a dynamic, mouthwatering Merlot that captures everything we love about Walla Walla Valley fruit.
