Prospice Les Collines Vyd Syrah 2017

Prospice draws this 2017 from Les Collines, where Block 50's depth meets Block 23's lift. Inky maroon in the glass and hedonistic and disciplined at the same time. The nose is brambly and inviting: blackberry and black cherry, garrigue, earthy spice, and a savory line of olive tapenade running underneath. Luscious, juicy dark fruit on the palate, but there's a frame holding it all together. Walla Walla Valley showing both of its sides in one glass.
