Fermented in large Austrian oak, this 2017 Riesling from Lone Star Vineyard carries spice and textural intrigue. Ginger and powdered sugar notes threading through a wine that's lighter on its feet than its predecessors. Oregon Riesling that doesn't disappear into sweetness.

Winemaker Notes

The 2017 vintage is considerably lighter than last year's Memorista, though again fermented in a large Austrian cask. Spicy and textural, its unusual flavors show highlights of ginger and a light sprinkling of powdered sugar, though the wine is finished dry. As with all of Ovum's Rieslings, this offers a unique take on a grape that seems to be thriving in Oregon. Paul Gregutt
