Les Alexandrins is the work of friends pooling generations of Rhône savoir-faire, Nicolas Jaboulet is the sixth generation of his family in Tain l'Hermitage, and this Viognier comes off high-altitude sites in the Ardèche, where cool temperatures keep the variety honest. That elevation shows up as lift and cut through the mid-palate, holding the grape's natural weight in line rather than letting it sprawl. Viognier with its shoes tied.
Winemaker Notes
Located from high-altitude vineyards of the Ardèche, our vines benefit from cool temperatures.
About the Producer
Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins is the story of friends united by a shared heritage, blending the savoir-faire passed down through generations with the exceptional fruit of some of the Rhone Valley's most beautiful and historic terroirs. Nicolas Jaboulet, the 6th generation of a winegrowing family in Tain l'Hermitage, joined forces with Alexandre Caso, a renowned expert in Northern Rhone terroirs. Their strength lies in a deep knowledge of terroir, a commitment to excellence, and respect for tradition from vine to wine. They began working parcel by parcel in Crozes-Hermitage for the wines of Maison Nicolas Perrin. In 2015, the name was changed to Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins. Today, Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins produces Northern Rhone wines that are true and classic expressions of the region.
