G.B. Burlotto Sauvignon Viridis 2023

Burlotto is a Barolo house, so a Langhe Sauvignon Blanc from them is the kind of side project that tells you what a producer actually believes: steel-fermented, no malolactic, just time on fine lees to build texture without blurring the edges. Straw-yellow with green flashes, and a nose that goes grapefruit and green pepper into orange peel, herbs and wildflowers. What the estate calls the salt and soul of the sea. Saline, elegant, persistent on the mid-palate, and nobody's hiding it under oak.
