Pergola-trained vines, natural methods in the vineyard and the cellar, and a stubborn insistence that a wine should taste like its vintage. This 2000 comes from a producer whose wines unfold slowly, built on speckled blue clay marls with enough iron and manganese in the soil to give the mid-palate its savory grip.
