About the Producer

Spencer Sievers, a Walla Walla native who grew up on a wheat farm in Pendleton, Oregon, founded El Corazon in 2009 after crafting his first wine in a small Portland apartment and selling bottles directly from his car on Walla Walla streets. An unconventional path to winemaking—without traditional wine family connections or estate vineyards—El Corazon has grown into a beloved Walla Walla institution built on warmth, community, and exceptional wine. The tasting room at 37 S Palouse St embodies Spencer's vision of an inclusive space where visitors can be themselves—part wine bar, part neighborhood gathering place, with wines that earn devoted followings. His farming background cultivated the practical skills and strong work ethic that define El Corazon's character: family-oriented, unpretentious, and deeply personal.
