Saumaize-Michelin farms this biodynamically in Pouilly-Fuissé, and the La Marechaude parcel, picked up in 2013, sits on clay and limestone slopes with vines averaging thirty years, all of it hand harvested. White flowers and citrus up front, a twist of exotic fruit, then the mid-palate turns powerful and stony, structure and finesse pulling in the same direction. This is what happens when limestone gets to do the talking.
