Mee Godard set up shop in Beaujolais in 2013 with a clear thesis: Morgon can make vin de garde, and she went straight for the benchmark sites to prove it. This comes off three parcels of old goblet-trained vines on the granite slopes of Corcelette, with about 40% whole-cluster, a long 15–20 day maceration, and a year in barrel and demi-muid. Real structure under the Gamay fruit. Granite gives it that fine-boned tension through the mid-palate; this is a Beaujolais built to age, not to drink by Thanksgiving.

Tasting Notes

Sourced from three parcels on the granite slopes of Corcelette (Bellevue and Montillet), with south-east exposures. Old vines are planted at high density and trained in traditional goblet pruning. Vinified with around 40% destemmed fruit over 15–20 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of barrel and demi-muid, followed by time in tank. A precise, lifted expression of Morgon built on finesse and structure
