Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault Perrieres Premier Cru 2020

Domaine des Comtes Lafon has been a Lafon family concern since 1865, and this bottling comes from just 0.91 hectares in two parcels at the lower end of Meursault's Les Perrières. Vines planted in 1955, on soil gone white with limestone and marl. The 2020 carries that fine, chalky ground straight through the mid-palate, with the kind of minerality you can't manufacture. Fourteen hectares across four communes, and this is the one they're known for.
