Domaine des Bosquets Gigondas 2019

La Colline sits high in the Dentelles, planted in 1975 on rocky clay-limestone with enough chalk in it to keep the wine light on its feet. The site proved itself in 2013, a year that gave Grenache no favors. Organically farmed, and the 2019 carries that soil signature straight through: rich fruit on the mid-palate, tannins so fine they read as texture rather than grip. Fifty-year-old vines don't need much help, and nobody here is giving them any.
