Di Majo Norante has been farming Molise's Terre Degli Osci since 1968, with over 200 acres under vine and Riccardo Cotarella consulting to keep the whole range honest. Bright red in the glass, violets and red berries up front with leather and anise underneath, dry and mellow through the mid-palate on tannins that never get in the way. This is the kind of Sangiovese that doesn't ask anything of you. It just pours well.

VinousA dusting of violet candies and crushed chalk gives way to dried strawberries and minty herbs as the 2021 Sangiovese unwinds in the glass. It sweeps across with ripe wild berry fruits and mineral tones, all elevated by a core of brisk acidity. The 2021 finishes long and with cheek-puckering tension, leaving nuances of sour citrus and cherry to fade slowly.
