Paul and Eileen Gerrie planted their flag in the Eola-Amity Hills in 1992 on a simple premise, respect the land, respect the grape, and second-generation owner Tom Gerrie has kept the biodynamic farming and the faith. The 2024 Mt. Jefferson opens with pronounced roses and lavender over blue fruit and plum, a whisper of earth underneath, then turns bright and lifted on the palate with tart cherry and raspberry framed by fresh acidity. This is Oregon Pinot with its perfume turned all the way up.
Tasting Notes
Pronounced floral aromas suggesting roses and lavender combined with blue fruit and plum, accented by subtle hints of earth. The palate is well-balanced with fresh acidity, showing off tart cherry and raspberry flavors.

James SucklingThe nose is very savory, earthy and botanical, with red roses, sandstone and minerals. The palate is dense and concentrated, with fresh, pure fruit flavors. Full-bodied and structured with a long finish. This is drinkable now but built to age. Open after 2028.

Jeb DunnuckThe 2023 Pinot Noir Mt. Jefferson Cuvee is 77% estate fruit, sourced from 250 to 800 feet in elevation. It captures the character of the Eola-Amity Hills in this vintage, overdelivering with notes of ripe cherries, leather, dark spices, and stony persistence. The tannins are ripe and chalky, the acidity is balanced, and the length is notable. Tasted twice, the palate has a plush texture and a grac

Gently tannic and long, the palate leaves a pleasantly chewy sensation and finishes with a tart cranberry twang. As of 2023, the Mt. Jefferson Cuvée uses 77% estate fruit

Wine AdvocateI tasted the 2024 Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Pinot Noir from tank a few days before it was due to be bottled. It has slowly opening aromas of blackberry and black cherry, earth and violets. The medium-bodied palate matches concentrated, floral fruit with well-integrated oak spice. It™s framed by silky tannins and fresh acidity and has a nuanced finish.
