Clos Henri Clay Sauvignon Blanc 2020

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with the volume turned down and the detail turned up: organically farmed, and the nose runs lemon, dill, cucumber, green apple and something distinctly seashell before it shifts toward fresh nutmeg and chalky minerality. Medium-bodied but wound tight, with real phenolic tension holding the texture together through the mid-palate. Six years on and it's still gaining. This is what happens when Sauvignon Blanc is taken seriously.
