Château Bellegrave's 2017 Pauillac comes at you opaque purple-black, with crushed raspberry, kirsch and fresh blackcurrant up front and a whole cedar chest of dried mint, incense, clove and lavender behind it. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with crunchy black fruit. Aromatically extravagant, but the fruit stays taut rather than sweet. This is Bordeaux with its perfume turned all the way up.

Tasting Notes

Opaque purple-black colored, the Bellegrave Pauillac sashays out of the glass with alluring scents of crushed raspberries, kirsch and fresh blackcurrants plus hints of dried mint, incense, cloves and cedar chest with a touch of lavender. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with fresh, crunchy black fruits, framed by firm, grainy tannins and loads of freshness, finishing long and lively.
