Benanti has been farming on Etna since Giuseppe founded the winery in 1988, though the family's roots in Viagrande reach back to the late 1800s. And this organically farmed Carricante tastes like the volcano it comes from. Pale yellow with green tints, medium-bodied and bone dry, it runs on high acidity and a saline, mineral spine, finishing long on anise and almond.
