Barnard Griffin pulls this five-grape blend from five vineyards across the Yakima Valley, Columbia Valley, White Bluffs, and Wahluke Slope. Merlot leading, with Cabernet, Petit Verdot, Syrah, and a splash of Petite Sirah filling in the corners. Sixteen months in French oak, 90% of it neutral, means the fruit does the talking: black cherry and plum, dried herbs, a whisper of cocoa. At 13.8%, it's a red blend built for the long haul of a Saturday.
