Graillot has been the reference point in Crozes-Hermitage since 1985, when Alain came home from a stint with Jacques Seysses at Domaine Dujac and started making Syrah on his own terms. This is 100% whole cluster off 45-plus-year-old vines in Tournon and St Désirat, fermented with ambient yeast in cement and raised in older barrels. Unfined, unfiltered, and all the more savory for it. Peppery, structured, with tannin that has something to say on the mid-palate. This is what Northern Rhône Syrah tastes like when nobody's dressing it up.

VinousFermented with 100% whole clusters, the 2023 Crozes-Hermitage displays ripe red fruit tones, stemmy touches and pencil shaving, licorice and cedar aromas. Medium- to full-bodied and fresh, the 2023 is shaping up to be a delicious red Crozes-Hermitage. A long, defined finish wraps it up.
About the Producer
In France’s Northern Rhone Valley, there are few names as revered as Graillot. It was in 1985 that the late, legendary Alain Graillot, who after working with the venerable Jacques Seysses at Domaine Dujac, came back to his home in Crozes-Hermitage to start his own domaine. With each passing year his devotion to the art of making hauntingly delicious Syrah from his organically farmed, stone-laden vineyards, was rewarded with an ever growing and highly dedicated following around the world.
