Abeja's Chardonnay comes out of the Columbia Gorge, and the 2024 wears that cool-corridor stamp on its sleeve: lemon curd and creme brulee on the nose, spring blossoms, a saline edge that keeps things honest. The entry is all grapefruit and Honeycrisp snap, then ripe nectarine fills the mid-palate before melon and a cool hint of cucumber close it out. Chardonnay with actual nerve. Nobody's hiding it under vanilla.
