About the Producer

Paul Furst was Gault-Millau winemaker of the Year in 2003; he is also known as the red wine Furst in the region. Like the Beckers, Furst belongs to the red wine elite in Germany. Probably the most refined and finesse Pinot Noirs in all of Germany. The vineyards are located in the villages of Burgstadt with the Centgrafenberg and in Klingenberg with its Schlossberg. The Burgstadter Pinots are more masculine whereas the Klingenbergers are more feminine and bring more finesse and refinement to the palate. Terroirs have colored sandstone with various concentrations of loam and clay.
