El Tamboril is a north-facing granite slope in the Sierra de Gredos, planted to Garnacha vines pushing 75 years old and sitting high enough that Comando G doesn't pick until well into October. And even then it lands at a modest 12.5%. Granite gives it that fine-boned minerality and lift, the old vines give it depth in the mid-palate, and the whole thing carries structure without weight. Garnacha with the volume turned down and the detail turned up.
