Jean-Pierre Perrin started La Vieille Ferme more than 45 years ago as a straightforward, affordable Rhône bottling. Same grape varieties in similar proportions to what the family plants at Château de Beaucastel, and a similar vinification approach behind it. Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah picked in the cool of early morning to hold onto the aromatics, giving a pale powder-pink rosé with strawberry, peach and lychee on the nose and crunchy red fruit across the palate. A fine bitterness on the finish keeps it honest. Proof that pedigree doesn't have to come with a price tag.

About the Producer

Jean-Pierre and François Perrin established La Vieille Ferme over 45 years ago, as an affordable straightforward Rhône wine to sell by direct mail to French wine lovers. They used the same grape varieties in similar proportions to those planted at the family’s Château de Beaucastel and employed a similar vinification process. In 1980, Vineyard Brands introduced La Vieille Ferme into the United States, and the response was an immediate, overwhelming acceptance and an outpouring of critical acclaim.
