Winemaker Notes
Columbia Valley AVA Backstory: This Rhône-style blend is our nod to the classic reds of Southern France, reimagined with Washington fruit. Sourced from Walla Walla, where Rhône varietals thrive, this wine is warm and balanced with a structure that doesn't feel heavy. The wine is shaped by the vintage to be bold enough for cooler nights and richer meals, and easy to enjoy. The kind of red that anchors your fall and winter table effortlessly. Tasting Notes: On the Nose: Vibrant and savory. Raspberry compote and black plum lead, followed by cracked pepper, dried herb, and a hint of lavender. A savory edge underneath adds depth and complexity that keeps everything grounded. On the Palate: Red and black fruit come through first. Think pomegranate, blackberry, and cherry, layered with dried thyme, olive tapenade, and a touch of smoked meat. The mid-palate is rich and plush, lifted by fresh acidity that keeps the wine moving. Finish & Overall Impression: Long, structured, and satisfying. Fine tannins and lingering spice carry through the finish. Plush without being heavy, it's built for cool nights, rich food, and repeat pours. Some fun pairing ideas: Hosting an autumn dinner when you want a crowd-pleasing red with depth and structure. Comfort food nights. Stews, braises, and anything slow-cooked. Bringing a bottle to friends who love Rhône wines and are curious about Washington’s take.
