From the Loire Valley village of Étilly, Pascal Brunet's 2023 Chinon shows intense cherry color and a nose of red fruits, raspberry, redcurrant, with the silky, supple tannins that come from long, warm maceration in concrete. This is a wine built for drinking now: all liveliness and freshness, the kind that reminds you why Chinon doesn't need to shout to be memorable.

Winemaker Notes

Harvesting at high maturity (mid-October or even end of October). Vatting in concrete tanks. Maceration for 3 to 4 weeks at 25-30°c to extract the finest tannins. Malolactic fermentation.
