Domaine Dujac's 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis is built on gentle slopes where six parcels, each between 249 and 264 meters, face the morning and afternoon sun, extracting the precision Pinot Noir demands from this position. Organic farming and northeast-to-south exposure give the wine a clarity and mineral spine that speaks to the subtle terroir of the foot of the slope. This is Burgundy without pretense: a wine that lets you taste the site.

Winemaker Notes

The red wine from Morey-Saint-Denis comes from 6 plots at the foot of the slope, west of the road (RD 974), and east of the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, where the slope is slight (3%). The plots range in altitude from 249 to 264 meters, facing northeast to due south.

About the Producer

Not long after purchasing vineyards in the late 1960s and releasing his first wines in the early 1970s Jacques Seysses became an international icon. His ability to coax the utmost flavor and texture from his grapes set him apart from his Burgundian brethren. Jacques respect for the terroir of the Côte d’Or is still on display in his viticultural practices and innovative winemaking methods. Dujac wines are more than just varietally correct – they are intimate travelogues of some of the most celebrated sites on earth.
