Labouré-Roi has been working out of Nuits-Saint-Georges since 1832, and this 2022 Chardonnay is the house's plainspoken end of Burgundy. Citrus and yellow orchard fruit on the nose, then a palate that's round through the mid-palate but stays lively right out to a long finish. Burgundy at its most straightforward. And that's exactly the point.
