The toasty and slightly smoky character of this gruner veltliner is married to a wealth of dried pear and candied citrus aromas. Wonderful, almost Burgundian textural complexity on the medium- to full-bodied palate. Long, beautifully structured, deeply minerally finish.

The 2023 Gruner Veltliner Ried Renner, from fluvial deposits and loess, is golden in the glass. Sun-dried hay perfumes the nose, joined by hayflowers and a hint of lemon. On the palate, these hay notes align with mild citrus zest and a touch of yeast, presenting a beautifully concentrated mid-palate surrounded by bright juiciness and ease. The finish holds both hayflowers and lemon.

The 2021 Ried Renner 1–TW is pure, fine and mineral on the nose that also displays a ripe, yellow stone fruit aroma as if this Grüner Veltliner had been kissed by Riesling. Very elegant and refined on the palate, this is a lush, intense, slightly creamy-textured Renner Veltliner with substance, intensity and fine tannin grip.
