Triennes' 2022 Viognier from Var opens with intense perfume, apricot, honeysuckle, white flowers, lavender honey, then pivots on a knife's edge of crisp acidity and mineral spine that keeps all that aromatics honest. A wine that proves aromatic richness and restraint aren't enemies.
Winemaker Notes
Intense perfume of apricot, honey-suckle, white flowers and honey of lavender. This wine strikes a beautiful balance between aromatic richness, crisp acidity and mineral structure.
About the Producer
Two of Burgundy’s greatest names – Jacques Seysses, founder of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine, co-owner of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti – are the partners behind this pioneering property in Provence, northeast of Marseille and due east of Aix-en-Provence. In less than two decades, they have transformed this stunning 113.7 acre (46 hectare) site into one of the top wine estates in Southern France. In the late 1980's they began searching for a vineyard in the south of France.
