About the Producer

No Girls was founded as a collaboration between Cayuse Vineyards' visionary owner and vigneron Christophe Baron and Cayuse general manager Trevor Dorland. The project takes its name from a sign discovered in the winery building—a Walla Walla structure that in the mid-19th century served as a bordello—a nod to the city's storied past and a symbol of how much times have changed. Grapes come primarily from La Paciencia Vineyard, planted on the same distinctive, stone-covered terroir that made Cayuse famous, with a focus on Syrah and Grenache from the Walla Walla Valley. Since its launch, the wines have earned consistently high critical acclaim, with Wine Spectator calling the 2009 vintage "some of the best Washington wines ever rated." Today the project celebrates the talented and independent women of the wine profession: "No Girls celebrates the belief that empowered women create empowered wine—and champions this profession's many talented and independent women and beyond."
